Keighley Albion join the National Conference League for 2025

Keighley Albion join the National Conference League for 2025

Keighley Albion have been voted in as a new member of the National Conference League following a meeting between clubs.

The club had been competing in the Yorkshire Men's League and will take up a place in Division Three for the upcoming 2025 NCL season. Albion originally came into the Conference in 1998 and played for four seasons in the competition before resigning their place. Since then the club has built up its junior section and worked hard on establishing their own clubhouse and changing rooms at Cross Flatts with work continuing to develop their facilities.

Everyone involved in the NCL wishes the club well in this latest chapter, and welcomes them into the competition.

Keighley Albion revealed the news on their Facebook page, stating: "We’re beyond excited to share some huge news: Keighley Albion ARLFC has been officially accepted into the National Conference League! Our men’s team will proudly represent Keighley in Division 3 for the 2025 season.

"This incredible achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of our players, staff, supporters, and the entire Keighley Albion committee. Bringing national-level amateur rugby league to Keighley is a dream come true, and we can’t wait to showcase our team on this prestigious stage!"

NCL Chairman, Trevor Hunt, said: "We’re delighted to welcome Keighley Albion into the National Conference League. They have submitted an impressive application, and the clubs were unanimous in their support of the Management recommendation for their membership application to be accepted.

"We wish them every success."
